Future Vision
Future Vision - Architecture and engineering project working in partnership with the Library of Birmingham, The Birmingham Rep Theatre and Mecanoo Architechen. With financial support from the Royal Academy of Engineering, Ingenious Public Engagement Programme.
Inspired by the ambitious development of the new £193 million Library of Birmingham and the Birmingham Rep Theatre by the internationally acclaimed Dutch architects Mecanoo Architecten, this innovative project brings together pupils, engineers, architects, library staff, theatre professionals and teachers to consider the role that engineering can play in the design and construction of libraries and theatres of the future.
The project involving four Birmingham secondary schools will see pupils collaborating with engineers and architects to help them understand the principles necessary to help them design the libraries and theatres of the future.
