Date Posted:24 February 2010
Recruitment is now closed.
Bright Space would like to invite schools to apply to the Creative Partnerships Enquiry programme for 2010/11.
We aim to recruit approximately 95 educational settings across Birmingham, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. This includes Childrens Centres, Pupil Referral Units and Special Schools.
By becoming a part of the Enquiry Programme you will receive:
  • Funding of up to 75% of your project costs, up to £3,000 (25% of costs contributed by the school, up to £1,000) to work with a creative practitioner
  • A Creative Agent – a ‘critical friend’ to support your ideas and help develop your programme
  • CPD and networking opportunities for teachers and staff to acquire new skills, promote creative thinking and develop practice.
Last year successful schools worked with a varied group of practitioners including glassmakers, storytellers, dancers, gardeners and scientists.
They also tackled diverse Enquiry questions which included:
  • How can creative planning and teaching raise standards of attainment and achievement in writing for a group of KS1 boys?
  • Does growing vegetables in school help to develop language across the curriculum?
  • How can students at our school explore positive engagement with the local community?
