The Independent newspaper takes advice from St Benedict's School in Birmingham

Date Posted:3 February 2010
St Benedict’s Infant School in Small Heath recently appeared in The Independent newspaper. They are a Creative Partnerships (CP) Change School and have devised a storytelling project through the programme, working with their specially trained dinner-ladies.
The Head, Anita Thompson, recently responded to The Independent's Education Quandary: We object to our daughter’s school showing Disney films during ‘wet play’ what can we do?
Anita replied, using her story-telling project as the basis of her response: ‘Our school is on the Creative Partnerships creative learning programme, which has enabled us to extend our storytelling club during lunchtime. The club, led by our dinner-ladies, takes place in the playground but is easily transported into a hall during ‘wet play...’
Bright Space delivers the Creative Partnerships programme in schools across Birmingham, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
We are due to start recruiting further Enquiry Schools later this month. Further information will follow shortly.
