Debbie, Steve Ball (our Chair) and I recently attended Mosaic's Annual Celebration Dinner. Mosaic is a mentoring project funded through Business in the Community. Founded by HRH the Prince of Wales and Chaired by HRH Princess Badiya bint El Hassan of Jordan. The project championed by Muslims aims to raise aspirations and provide opportunities for young people.

Operating in Birmingam since 2009 Mosaic originally focussed on working with Muslim youth, the project is now working across all communities in Birmingham. Mentors come from many organisations including, Birmingham City Council, Government Office for the West Midlands and West Midlands Police.

The evening was a mix of speeches and performances by young people. A highlight of the evening was a performance with our Associate Artist, Matt Windle and pupils he is currently mentoring at Al Hijrah and Harborne Hill School.

We aim to further our relationship with Mosaic in the future.
